• promotion of analysis of data from experiments of the institute 

Particle physics is a vast field of theories and models in order to explain the physical laws of nature. Therefore it is necessary to test them against data obtained by experiments. These data are not directly usable for such tests, since they represent not pure physics, but contain effects introduced by imperfections of the detectors and experiments.The emphasis therefore is to find ways to correct and remove such effects from data and then to use them for physics analysis.

Group members or guests explain their approaches to solve these fundamental problems of data analysis and also results and new developments in their fields of interest.
